Week 7
Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016
Germany
Vincent Feigenbutz(9) vs. Giovanni De Carolis(11)
12 rounds – Super middleweight division
Spain
Evgeny Gradovich ( 8 ) vs. Jesus Galicia(12)
10 rounds – Featherweight division
Note. Under normal circumstances I would not include this apparent mismatch but Grado is scheduled to fight Donaire at 122 in a title shot 3 months later. Grado is a rather large featherweight so one would have assumed he would take a similar opponent as Jesus but at 122. I’m expecting they will announce some kind of weight agreement that was made on the way to the ring. Even so, Gradovich will is dropping a full class forcing him to almost forgo proper rehydration for the above fight.
