Roach saying "Where is the guy from the build up ?" at least hints at Pascal trying new things at the gym (unless he was covering himself) but the Gym and the ring can be poles apart, and I think Kovalev just took him to pieces mentally, before doing exactly what he said he would physically.

Would love to see the Ward fight materialize but would not be surprised if it never happened.

Id say theres more chance of khan fighting Canelo than ward getting in the ring with an even remotely dangerous Light heavyweight

Barrera looks pretty good, he's a big guy and was calling for this fight.. Has the same trainer as GGG so they are in camp sparring lots as well. I think he's a bit upright and too stiff for Ward, wouldn't be surprised to see him get schooled, but certainly not a bad opponent. Even if Ward had been active, it would be totally fine for his first fight at 175.
