Canelo has improved considerably since Mayweather, i reckon Khan is out of his mind taking this fight. Canelo by KO 2

It seems a suicide mission to make the most money.

But I thought the exact same thing when Mosley, Floyd and Pac man were due to fight Oscar De La Hoya and they pulled it off and became superstars.

    I actually think he's got a chance

I think khan has more of a chance than I thought fury did before the big klitorous

which probably means khan will get wiped out

Britain's Amir Khan says he is expecting a "crazy" atmosphere when he meets Mexico's Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas.

Former light-welterweight world champion Khan, 29, has not fought since outpointing Chris Algieri in May 2015.

But he has made a jump of two weight divisions to set up a WBC world middleweight title on 7 May, ruling out a meeting with fellow Brit Kell Brook.

"I'm going to the lion's den," said Khan. "If I beat him, it will be one of the biggest upsets in boxing."

"It's Cinco de Mayo as well, the Mexican holiday, so it's going to be crazy," he added. "I think it's brave and I think it's the right thing to do."

Khan said he wanted to fight multiple world champion Floyd Mayweather and seven-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao, but neither fights happened.

He added: "I want to be in the big fights with the big names. Alvarez I think is probably the biggest name in boxing right now.

"At first, I thought he was too big for me, but when I studied a few tapes, I thought: 'You know what, I've got a good chance of beating him'."

    'I'm the underdog'

Bolton's Khan has won 31 and lost three of his 34 professional fights but has not won a world title after losing to Lamont Peterson in 2011.

He last fought at the MGM Grand in December 2014, beating American Devon Alexander on a unanimous decision.

"I've fought in Las Vegas three times, but normally I'm top bill," Khan told BBC Sport. "This time I'm the underdog. That will push me on even more.

"People are going to be doubting me, people are thinking it'll be an easy fight for Canelo, but he'll have his hands full."

    'A 50-50 fight'

Alvarez, nicknamed 'Canelo', has lost once and won 46 of his 48 fights. That defeat came against Mayweather in 2013.

The fight has been set at a catch-weight of 155lb, eight pounds more than Khan weighed in victory against American Algieri.

The usual limit for middleweight is 160lb, but Alvarez's last few fights have had the same weight stipulation.

"When I announced that it was going to be Alvarez, everyone was shocked," said Khan. "That's what makes this fight bigger because it was a shock to everyone.

"What's going to win the fight for me is my skills and my speed.

"I don't think I can out-power Canelo. The only way I can beat him is my speed, skill and my techniques. I think it's a 50-50 fight."

Only all three were considered top p4p fighters and were cleaning own divisions first. I did think Manny was in somewhat deep vs Oscar, then we saw the weigh in and Oscar looked an extra from 'The walking dead'.

This. Also, too, I don't think Oscar was ever any better than Canelo is at 154. In this case, if anyone is more worn out it's Khan, and the natural size discrepancy is just as bad. Plus, Mosley was hard as nails and extremely difficult to hurt. If he was chinny DLH would have beaten him. Not seeing the parallels myself.

2002 Oscar @ 154 was miles ahead of Canelo at this point.

Replace Cotto with 2002 Oscar vs Canelo, Oscar wins convincingly.

I probably agree with that, but what can you base it on? Vargas was the only impressive win Oscar had at 154... Not saying he wasn't a better boxer than CAnelo(though even then you have to give it time), but he started his careeer at 130. I highly doubt alvarez could have made anything under welter since he was a teenager. He is naturally a bigger man.

    I like it.

But I'd separate GGG from both Canelo and Ward. GGG has stayed at 160 unwaveringly. I'm sure he'd be willing to take on all comers at 160, regardless of pedigree. If Canelo wants to fight GGG, let him go up to 160, which is after more his natural weight. Canelo, by fighting Khan, confirms what we've always known (ie: Josesito Lopez, et al). That he thrives on beating up on much smaller men. Ward's not nearby busy enough to pin down. He needs to up his activity to at least once a year before we can get a good fix on him.

Khan's speed is his only shot. He will need to run and box all night. He is just as small as josesito Lopez but doesn't possess the same beard. Canelo tore Lopez apart.

Red headed fuck is being a bully yet again and picking on a little guy. A greedy mouthy lil guy who will do anything for a big money fight lol
