Me and the Mrs went to one of our friends funerals last week. He was only 3 years older than us. Persisting it down with rain, but a good turn out with a lot traveling from a long way away. He was not religious, but the vicar chap, that sort of linked all the readings etc, did a good job in helping people remember him, and what he brought to their lives without once mentioning religion. My friend who is currently undergoing chemo for advanced Cancer came down from Manchester, and put on the wake, preparing food etc in a local Pub he owns down here. That spoke volumes about how much everyone thought of him.
Thanks for the kind words guys, its appreciated.
I was at funeral where my friends twin babies died shortly after their birth. They had the strength to read out what they felt and it was very emotional. What i vividly remember was that they said when you go home hug your child for us and appreciate them.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Uncles can be the coolest of relatives for nephews.
Love your nephews, like a cool uncle walrus would.
I kick myself when I realized one day my nephews asked me to take them to the movies...
Next time it was to a party...wow...time...
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
RIP your uncle.
