Finally got to watch the fight. Gutted for Quigg because he proved that he is more than capable of taking rounds off Frampton when he put his foot down and the game plan, whatever that was clearly back fired big time. Fair play to Frampton, but he and smarmy Bazza are going to be insufferable for a while now. Could easily be a trilogy if you ignore the first 6 rounds but they both need to focus on other challenges for now.

I just saw this too. I think Santa Cruz batters Frampton, unless he was absolutely killed at the weight and is a different fighter at 126.

I would rather see Barry being swarmy than Hearn.

You can not forget how poor the first 6 rounds were. Quigg was pathetic.

I'm not disagreeing with you but Frampton was hardly setting the place on fire himself.

Frampton was winning the rounds by doing very little. Scott allowed him to do that, why should Carl throw extra punches when he did not have to win the rounds?

Carl is under no obligation to entertain the fans, essentially he was doing what Floyd Mayweather has been doing for many years.

Yep. And you absolutely rip Mayweather to shreds for that. So exactly what is the difference?

firstly it wasn't framptons fault the fight was shit

but fighters are under an obligation to entertain the fans, and judges should be urged to score the aggressor, as I think they probably did on Saturday

and going back to mayweather, watch mayweather canelo again, there were rounds being scored to mayweather where he through only a handful of punches

Im not saying canelo won the fight, im saying there should be more put on entertainment

Yeah, but my point is that you and Master are trying to Justify for Frampton what he did, yet the same doesn't apply to Floyd.
I agree his priority isn't to entertain the fans, it is to WIN! And you do that the way that suits you best, and that is exactly what Floyd did.
I know he's a twat and I know we're talking about him yet again, but there has to be consistency when we talk about what he does IN the ring.
