Saturday night’s “Knockout Night at the D,” boxing card to feature headliners Zab Judah vs. Josh Torres at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), has been cancelled.

Derek Stevens, CEO of the D Las Vegas and DLVEC, said, “Last night, I received multiple calls from the Nevada Athletic Commission regarding eligibility concerns. After our discussions, it became apparent the fight card could not move forward. Although I’m disappointed with the situation, I appreciate the phone calls and look forward to working with the Nevada Athletic Commission on future boxing events at the DLVEC.”

This is the third straight fight to fall through for the 38-year-old Judah. Last September, a fight with Hevinson Herrera was kayoed when Herrera suffered an injury during a weigh-in scuffle, then a November fight against Juan Carlos Salgado was scrubbed when Salgado suffered a late training injury.

All ticket purchases will be reimbursed. Credit card transactions will be automatically refunded and cash refunds will be issued at their point of purchase.
    A week of scratches.

Hey England, is Johnny Garton vs. Tyler Goodjohn still on the London card Saurday?

Hey Australia is Blake Caparello vs. Junior Talipeau still on Friday?

    Some slim pickins this week.

Tyler Goodjohn has been forced to pull out of his English welterweight title fight after breaking his right hand in training.

The Wentworth boxer had been due to face Johnny Garton for the belt at London's York Hall on March 19.

But after fracturing his hand in sparring, Goodjohn, 24, who won the corresponding title at light-welterweight in 2014, has had to withdraw from the contest.

Steve Whitwell, his trainer at St Ives Boxing Academy, said it was a huge disappointment for Goodjohn, but hoped the title clash with the London puncher could still take place later this year once his hand had healed.

Maybe I should go back to 20 fights a week to make sure we get 10 in
