Default Fighters with a Bad A** Attitude

Johnny Tapia was a fighter who fought with a Bad Ass Attitude....and I loved it.

He didn't stare down a foe...then 3-4 rounds later starts smiling if he gets cracked. He fought as tenacious as his demeanor from start to finish.

    Aaron "Hawk" Pryor.
Erected his arm out, fist clinched and stared his foe down, like a statue. Didn't move or flinch till he heard his name. No smiling & most of all, no faking, he fought with a Bad Ass Attitude.

Tapia, so underrated and dismissed at times. Only guy I've seen lick his blood off the gloves, laugh at a guy and rip off 5,6 pin point punches. Paz tried it but was countered mid laugh . Off top
    Razor Ruddock
    early Manny
    Iran Barlkey
    Ike Quartey
    Gerald McClellan
    Jeff Fenech
    Michael Moorer...Lt hvy
George Foremen at his young reckless best
    Vic Darchinyan
Hopkins pre sniper-mode. He'd get in your face and grab a sammich out of your hand
    Anne Wolfe
Jorge Arce. Any man coming to the ring sucking on a lolly pop will chew threw your knees to get to your heart.
Tim Bradley has to be up there.

James Toney had attitude and super confidence. Remember he walked into the ring when a fighter called him out.

You beat me to it! James preferred standing in front of a guy and taking him apart as he did vs Jirov, Barkley, and Holyfield. Other fighters with great attitudes:
    1. Holyfield
    2. Hagler
    3. Young Oscar
    4. Shane Mosely
    5. Tommy Hearns
    6. Duran
    7. Kovalev
    8. Pac
    9. GGG
    10. Morales

Many more (G-Man, JCC, Tito...etc), but those are my big ones. Meldrick Taylor and Terry Norris also. Joe Frazier and prime George Foreman? Carmen Zbasilio and Gene Fullmer? Ezzard Charles at 175...!! Too many to list.

Tyson at his peak. How dare they challenge me with their primitive skills.

Nice one. Tyrone Trice and not sure I've seen knees knock like that before, not even Georges facing off with Frazier. Best thing that ever happened to Trice was that McClellan pulled out of that fight!

Trice, definitely fought with a chip on his shoulder.

Not sure about Meldrick Taylor or Michael Moorer. Taylor was the consummate professional imo. Moorer usually looked down during ring instructions and humble after his losses and victories.

James Toney, Marvelous were the ultimate bad attitude fighters.
Tito was great at smiling ear to ear for the fans...then out of nowhere this I'm gonna kick your ass expression during staredowns.

Barkley was ugly enough that even his smile was menacing!!!

Vic Darchinian in his short lived prime had it as well.

I didn't include Tyson because he IMO played more of a bully role. Then post fight he'd become almost...remorseful that he whooped his foes.
One amateur fight, Tyson buried his head into the kid's chest, like he was pleading for forgiveness....please forgive me for sparking you..PLEASE!!!!
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!

Early Tyson fights he was cocky, hands down, going southpaw, total attitude, contempt and arrogance.

Duran and Pryor stand out. Who was the guy Pryor was fighting against when he got knocked down and the ref had to grab hold of him and restrain him to give him an eight count?

Jack Dempsey .... homeless at 15 and living in hobo jungles. Riding the trains from prospecting town to prospecting town, fighting the meanest guy in each bar for a few cents.
