Re: Shorter 15 Week Boxing Challenge
Tyler Goodjohn has been forced to pull out of his English welterweight title fight after breaking his right hand in training.
The Wentworth boxer had been due to face Johnny Garton for the belt at London's York Hall on March 19.
But after fracturing his hand in sparring, Goodjohn, 24, who won the corresponding title at light-welterweight in 2014, has had to withdraw from the contest.
Steve Whitwell, his trainer at St Ives Boxing Academy, said it was a huge disappointment for Goodjohn, but hoped the title clash with the London puncher could still take place later this year once his hand had healed.
