because lemieux needs a gimme after failing to make weight by 2.5 lbs. (maybe one of Golovkins fist and glove are still lodged in him somewhere and put him over) and tanking his comeback fight. They have to get him in the public eye soon against someone he can mow down and still prove he's marketable. Who better than the newbie to the stable that just got blown out in 4 rounds in his last fight in his hometown against an unknown.![]()
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Well I guess one brutal KO wasn't enough for that card.
Lemieux will decapitate Tapia.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
So he needs a CW limit to make last fight date and still comes in heavyNow beat up jr middle at inflated and bs catchweight to double down on a gimme? Beginning to thing he and Chavez jr are sharing cereal bowls.
Lemieux just took on the best and most brutal middleweight straight away without any easy defences. Give the man a break.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I really like this fight. I think Tapia will be a lot better at the higher weight. Probably getting KOd but could be a fun brawl while it lasts.
I don't rate Lemiuex enough to be offended by this match I guess, although it probably is career suicide for Tapia.
Its the weight that gets me. Lemieux needed to come in heavy and still wouldn't make it causing cancellation. Now he needs a jr middle to come up for him...and it'll most likely be an absurd catchweight.
The middleweight division already has enough soft touches without the bean counting and string pulling
It's not actually that bad of an undercard, you've got Herrera against Frankie Gomez which is a hell of an undercard fight. That's one decent fight more than you get on most big PPV undercards. It's just the main event I've got a problem with. Seeing Khan get absolutely splattered isn't going to make up for the lack of competitiveness of the main event.
And a cracking middleweight fight too. Stevens against another bomb thrower. They've gone for lots of big KOs on one card.
