    Passing this along from @Bill Paxtom

    July 9, 1970 ~arena somewhere near Cleveland, Ohio;

    Riddick Bowe: "In Round 3, Ali hit me with a straight right hand that 'pissed' me ~off~…… I decided Bid Daddy had to start throwing some Bensonhurst Brooklyn Bombs."

    Muhammad Ali: "Bowe is an ugly Seagull. The only way I lose to an ugly Seagull is if the Seagull comes in prepared and ready, and I don't really train good."

    Bowe: "Well this Seagull is ready to ~tan~ your 'hide'".

    Do we forget how easily Bowe was there to be hit Sure outside of Hide, Holyfield, Martin, Coetzer, Golota or a Lane he was rarely shook and/or rocked but ffs...Bowe often worked for a guy to fall into his wheel house. He wasn't beyond becoming flustered, out jabbed and out quicked.

    Hide hurt Bowe so Ali could too.

    Hide had pop but prior to even Bentt he was beating up a who's who of retread journeymen and off longest time out of the ring going into Bowe. Oh and..he was Hide not Ali

    You don't hammer a nail with one blow, and just reoccurs to me how Bowe was hit clean by some much lesser opposition.

    Ali and Hide power are not even close to the same Ali was wear you done out box you type of guy. Also he had a lot of stoppages on cuts which Bowe did not really get cut that often in his career. I think it be a close fight Bowe was something not seen in 60's he was giant with a lot of skill and motor.
