No, being wise after the event.

Its not being wise after the event, before anyone knew how bad Blackwell was plenty at ringside were saying it should have been stopped earlier.

Normally when a ref sees a fighters head snap back they stop the action and give an 8 count. How many times did we see Blackwells head violently snapp up and back from uppercuts? Sometimes 3 times in quick succession.

Plenty in the crowd said it should have been stopped earlier , thousands didn't say that but why look at both sides of the argument huh Master ?

Who the hell wants to be a referee you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't,! we have all
called refs fit to burn stopping a fight or not.
The corner has to take blame for not showing compassion for there fighter, I always say sooner is better
than later remember Blackwell traded on his toughness and he would fight till he dropped.

    And guess who was right?

Those in attendance and know what they are looking at or the people at home whove never taken a punch in their lives?

I wonder what Pascal Collins and O Sullivan make of it.

Yep, and there are some guys who were never capable of becoming a ref, so had to become judges and feel they can criticise one of the best refs Britain has ever produced. Glass houses and all that! 😏

Wait a minute, I'm one of those who was at home and have never took a punch in my life...am I not entitled to an opinion? Does that mean I don't have a clue what I'm talking about?

Well fuck me I might have to take up tiddlywinks or something, I never knew that boxing was such an exclusive sport.

I've watched hundreds of hours of boxing, I've studied fighters and closely followed their career but you think that just because someone has never got in the ring themselves they have no knowledge of the sport, that is quite frankly a ridiculous statement.

I've never played top flight football but I know what the offside rule is, I've never rode a horse but I can still pick a bet, I've never played snooker at the crucible but I know how many points are needed to win a frame and can tell a good shot when I see one.

Wipe those tears batman, im not belittling anyone just pointing out the obvious that yeah, many sofa sports fans and keyboard warriors may think the fight was quite right to be left to carry on but the opinion of every person interviewed ringside (bar his own team and the ref), mostly people who had had an involvement in the sport was that it should have been stopped earlier.

    Who was right batman?

Your welcome to an opinion as everyone is just be prepared for it to be wrong.

You may well like to have opinions on football but the object of that game is not to punch the opponent in the head and render them unconscious. Some times its best to listen to the professionals opinions.
