But one thing we do know for sure, is that his fighting career is over. I thought it was a great fight.
I for one, don't think the fight should have been stopped. Blackwell was never badly rocked. He was never down and even though he was taken big shots, his body posture, his legs, his balance and his whole bodily demeanour was that of a strong fighter who was in the fight.
So when Eubank was trying to do that Joe Calzaghe, Oscar De La Hoya thing, of trying to con the ref into stopping the fight, by blitzing Blackwell with a flurry of lots of half arsed arm punches, to get the ref to stop it. I can see why the ref did not buy it. Blackwell is a tough, tough, tough kid. Hope he pulls through.
