A standing 8 count is given if the boxer does not get knocked down, at no point does anything other than his feet touch the canvas

it may seem like nit picking but they are 2 different rules in my opinion, just spotted that you said 'what shows you that 8 counts still exist' we are talking about the standing 8 count, not the 8 count following a knock down
