Btw I didnt mean Taylor had no heart but that he never liked boxing and perhaps fell short for a man with that much talent. His mind set overall may have been the difference.

I was always keen on Martin. I didn't know he would have gotten a shot so quickly, but I always noticed something sneaky about his straight left hand and his handspeed.

I recall him winning on a Hopkins undercard I believe and they asked if him if Bernard would be a fight he would be interested in. His response was something to the effect of not being ready for Hopkins at this point. I admired his honesty but thought strange for a fighter to say in an interview. I'm pretty sure Hopkins was his next fight.
