Ok, let's get this clear when we talk about avoiding/ducking fighters.
    1. there were never any official discussions.
    2. When Ward said this, he hadn't fought for 3 years. would he have needed a tune up before GGG? Bearing in mind that his 1st fight ended up being Paul Smith , Ward weighed 172Lb , Smith 176Lb, I think he would've wanted a tune up prior to GGG.
    3. if Ward has this tune up, is GGG just expected to wait for him? bear in mind GGG fights 3 to 4 times a year.
    4. GGG's handlers allegedly wanted a "split down the middle " catchweight of 164Lb. Ward didn't want to know about that . (nothing wrong in that btw, I'm not a fan of CW's and this fight was never realistic imo.)
    5. GGG fights at 160Lb , Ward used to fight at 168Lb and that's where he wanted the fight. The only problem is that Ward hasn't fought at 168Lb for 3 years. Ward now fights at 175Lb.
the fact is that nobody ducked anyone here, it was never a realistic fight for many reasons , they are very different sizes and one fights regularly while the other doesn't , so timings would never be right. Plus of course the Money/ A side/B side bollocks.

Right, now I've backed GGG up regularly.
Now , to prove that I'm consistent and unbiased, I'm gonna rip into him a little bit.

Shut your fucking mouth about fighting Floyd and concentrate on your own legacy. It's one thing answering a question, but to talk about KO'ing him and all that bollocks , just fucking get on with your own career.
    There, I said it!

Everything triple G says is true. The Floyd v Manny fight was boring, no one is interested in a rematch and he would wipe out Floyd with ease.

Why call out a retired fighter 2 weights below you?
That's as bad as Ward calling him out.

Floyd is not retired, only you believe that.
Floyd wants to win a title at middleweight.
Floyd wants 50th fight to beat Rocky's record.

GGG is making sure Floyd does not fight Canelo claiming to be the middleweight champ.

That’s what Hagler did to Leonard. Leonard had him on the line before he retired. The Kazak knows full well that his chances of getting Floyd at this moment in time are slim to none and slim has left the building. If Floyd were to come back sooner rather than later it would be for the fake title against the winner of Khan/Alvarez. That’s the money fight as insane as it is and there’s no reason for him to be concerned with legacy at this point when he was not concerned throughout his career. For Floyd to fight Golovkin now, the Kazak would have had to have deteriorated at the same pace Hagler did.

Let's be honest, why does Floyd sell? Because 50% , maybe more of the people that tune in want to see him lose.
Manny - been there, done that, it won't sell like before because people have seen the outcome.
Canelo - ditto. Even the "he's more mature, no CW , he's better now, etc.etc. won't sell it."
GGG - enough people (not me btw) think he could beat Floyd at a 154lb CW. It's intriguing and we don't know the answer.
The Only problem is that Floyd ain't buying it. He's already said so, and to be honest, who can blame him . It would be yet another Circus act.

The ego to win 50th fight is the reason. He would fight one of his ex-girlfriends just so he can do it. The money is irrelevant.

I think 50 fights means more to everyone else than it does Floyd.
If it meant anything to him, he wouldn't have retired in the first place.
He's loving life at the moment. Everybody talking about him and he won't discourage that.
If he comes back , there has to be a public demand, after all it's a business and it's all about supply and demand.
If the people demand it , then they/we are far more stupid than I ever believed.
So tell me, are you stupid ?

Frankly, I couldn't give two hoots about this fight. Golovkin has become boring with all these decent record, but unknown fighters. He is getting old already and I don't buy that nobody will fight him. Until Golovkin fights James Toney I just don't want to know.

You can't avoid a fighter a weight class above you, unless the fighter offered to fight you at your weight class. For example, Floyd Mayweather didn't avoid Sergio Martinez.
