An even bigger shock is that when Hopkins a former 160 lber announced his intention to move up at AGE 41!!! to fight a 235 lb heavyweight champ in Maskaev the vast majority on this board think Hopkins would win easily.

That there tells you just how shit the heavies are today!

If the trend continues expect to see Floyd Mayweather and even Manny Pacquio trying their luck in 4 or 5 years time :P

Of course every fighter has a 'shot' at landing a big bomb, but that's alittle different than what actually ends up happening. As confident as you are at Douglas beating Toney is as confident as I am that he would lose.

I don't give much credence to a fighter 'announcing' that he has 'intentions' of 'perhaps' fighting someone. The only thing that matters is when a fighter gets his azz in the ring. Anything else is just a bunch of bullsh!t.

I am 100% sure the guys fighting today have similar opponent records because when you bring that up it's not only who is fighting who it's who the opposition is fighting as well.

Why don't we look at Joe Louis' record and see who fought in a weak Heavyweight division..or rather Marciano's which was after Joe's.
