Wow, a draw. Thought Jack won the fight.

What happened with the Jack fight, I couldn't watch?

I heard it was scored a draw but it should have went to Jack CLEARLY, is that accurate?

It was a close fight and Bute closed the show. I thought Jack inched it out. What is with these champions going on cruise control in the second half?

Is it me, or does Medina remind anyone of Glen Johnson? Nothing spectacular, but a strong, solid, fundamentally sound fighter who pressures more athletic opponents and gives them hell in close/disputable fights. I thought Degale won, but Medina gets noticeably better with each loss, and that should worry the elite of the division.

Both Jack and Degale are nothing more than strong international class operators , they are not and never will be real champions.
    Both are garbage strap holders.

I've just caught up with the Degale fight . Yesterday on this thread ,I was asked why I didn't like Degale. Well this fight proved everything I said in my reply. Let's not forget, Medina wasn't the original Mandatory, he was a replacement.
2 questions I ended up asking myself.
    1. How long Medina would last with Callum Smith?
    2. Would Degale be allowed to go on his little walks around the ring or have the odd round off if he fought Smith or George Groves?

Maybe that is why DeGale wants a unification because he can avoid Smith.

Haha, maybe I should eat a bit of crow, but I do think this Medina guy proved he's pretty good. I haven't seen anything of him besides that upset KO of J'leon Love and the fight last night, but I'd guess he's improved, I liked the way he fought a lot and he was tough as nails. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him give Callum Smith a hard go as well, and I think he could beat Groves of late.

Nah, you've no need to eat crow, you've not been proven wrong. That's the thing about Degale, maybe he is the best, maybe I expect too much. But it's just that each time he fights, he leaves a load of questions unanswered and I always get the impression he's not at it.

Could it be that Degale fight up/down to the Level of competition?

Interesting that Jack got a controversial draw with a guy Librado Andrade almost beat save the ref- and Cobra'd by Froch.

Had to half watch Jack v Bute on mute so no idea really. What I was stuck on was how Jack 'looked' like 101 other early 90's ok'ish top contenders. Maybe it was the hair or the gold on white trunks . Or the bottle . DeGale looked really patchy and clearly overlooked Medina. He has been accumulating a lot of damage and his ribs are probably sore.

had Jack winning 8-4 , poss 7-5 at worst, cant see how 2 judges scored it a draw

degale sneaked home 7-5 for me, he gave away too many late rounds and some inbetween, easily could have been a 6-6 draw although i cant see how Medina won 7 rounds

I was surprised some good judges had the Degale fight close, but watching it again, even though I made DeGale a comfortable winner, it's understandable as some people prefer that come forward pressure style.

DeGale defintely took him lightly, that's why he faded late as he punched himself out going for the early KO.
