I keep reverting back to Khan's fight against Algieri. That fight I believe is a good indicator of how this fight is going to turn out.

Khan did struggle with Algieri. It wasn't the kind of struggle he came close to losing the fight, he won 8 rounds and he won the fight. The problem was that, he almost never dominated a round and barely edged most of them, he never came close to knocking out Algieri, never knocked him down, never even made him wobbly. He claims to be on the elite level, last time a (36 year old) elite fought Algieri, he knocked him down 6 times and did not give him a single round.

Khan fought a mediocre, B grade fighter, and he just looked like a slightly better, more technical B grade.

Khan won clearly, but he showed a lot of flaws.

He can't fight on the inside, he's still vulnerable to left hooks, he gets hit by right hands, and his chin is still weak, which is probably the worst combination of weaknesses you could have going against someone (Canelo) who can fight on the inside, with power in both hands and a terrific (and underrated) counterer.

Oh, and last I checked, Khan's chin hasn't gotten any better....
