I see mentions of his shape and weight and also saw a video of Haye saying how badly out if shape Fury is but the interviewer says "Hatton did it". Haye answers that ahatton didnt get that badly out of shape. Bullshit! Hatton went from being a 10 stone fighter to ballooning up 5 stone between fights! Tyson is 18.5 stone and putting on only 3!!
If Tyson put the same amount of mass on that Hatton did between fights hed be 30 stone!
Array
Tyson going up 3 stone is only the same as a super middle going up to less than 14!
People see it as negative as they want. They conveniently forget that Tyson is massive and any weight increase would need to also be massive before hes anywhaer near the likes of Hatton for letting himself go between fights.
Array
The only reason people are mentioning his weight is because he brought it up himself. When he took his shirt off yeah he'd packed on a bit of timber, but he didnt look too far removed from the shape he's sometimes entered the ring in.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Although that ignores that on fight night Hatton was cut to the bone and Fury is fat even at his most 'ripped'... So they aren't starting from the same place even relatively speaking.
Not that I think it matters to Fury. He'll be in the same shape he normally is. Which is fine for him. But the comparison you made is a bit wonky![]()

I thought Fury was being smart by showing Wlad his belly. He was about to go into training camp, which he said he can't stand because of the sacrifices, and will obviously have shed the timber by time of the fight.
He's a big ignorant thicko but he's "streetwise" sharp.

If you ask Ricky Hatton his one regret in boxing, it would be him ballooning his weight way too high. It shortened his career significantly.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Yeah Hatton got much bigger as a weight percentage of course, but how 'overweight' they get obviously depends on whether their starting point was already overweight. Ie 4 stone on a ripped physique is not 4 stone 'overweight', and 4 stone more weight on someone already 2 stone overweight makes them 6 stone overweight. So your logic is a bit faulty.
Hatton probably got so fat that he got to about the same bf% as Tyson is now. So they're probably fairly even in terms of how out of shape they get. Both are fatties when they let themselves go. Hatton then used to get shredded. And Fury will get less fat.
Anyway Ross, like I say, I don't think Tyson's weight gain matters. It's not like he was in fantastic shape anyway. He'll be in the same shape as he was before and that was good enough to win.
Just an odd comparison that's all to compare a Ripped then Fat Light Welter with a Fat then Fatter Heavy.

You have to be kidding!
Hatton had no neck at points in his career! Tyson has that odd shape where he has love handles. He doesnt have a huge gut, or flabby tits or a big double chin. He accumulates fat around hips.
Fury doesnt have to cut any weight. Hes in a division where no one can have a strength advantage because they can cut more weight than the next person. Hatton when in his more natural weight division got nearly knocked out by Collazo then got knocked out by Pacquiao and Mayweather. Tyson is fighting the biggest puncher in the world and beating him easy.
Of course he was in fntastic shape. To move 18.5 stone so nimbley around the most dangerous fighter in the world for 12 rounds id say is excellent fitness!

He sounds pretty straight and sincere about it there. Either helping/hoping Wlad takes him lightly or a man who has reached his goal and even says he cannot top last performance. Is that his daughter there at beginning? Personally hope he beats Wlad again. Don't mind the trinket scramble now compared to the bottle neck boredom aka dominance of Wlad.
Hahahaaaaa!

Well, that is one area where I have to give full credit to your darling one. Floyd was always in shape and never really seemed out of shape when he wasn't boxing. He has great ethics in that sense and I think it was fantastic and said a lot that he can indulge in a burger here and there on the way. All the fat people stood aghast with looks of horror, but the occasional indulgence for someone who is healthy is perfectly reasonable. Good on him.
You end up with people like Fury almost crying because they have to lose a little weight and go easy on the wheat addiction, but he could stay in shape all year round and enjoy a treat here and there if he wanted to. All this cutting weight and being miserable over it just seems a bit odd if you ask me.

If fury does walk away the division will be wide open for his deadly punching cousin.
