OMG Mike McCallum would slaughter Oscar at 154. Oscar had his hands full with Vargas for nearly the entire fight, McCallum had 5 times the skill he had.

Yeah, easy easy fight... Considering McCallum is naturally much bigger and one of the best most relentless body punchers as well as underrated boxers of all time.. And Oscar just loves body shots.

i would pick mcallum delahoya was primed at 140 and maybe even 147 but at 154 he doesnt fare too well mcallum was a natural big 154 and hit hard. i say mcallum bye mid to late rd stoppage.

I havent' seen much of McCallum aside from clips of his loss to RJJ at the end of his career, but I've heard great things about him. In an interview he claims Leonard, Duran, Hagler all ducked him in his prime. Also I've heard he was probably the greatest WW -MW Manny Steward ever trained.

As much as I would love to say oscar Mccallum is a much larger man and no tomato can. Mike Mcallum is definetly one of the most underated fighter of all time. James Toney was once asked who is the toughest fighter he ever fought and he said without pausing Mike Mcallum.

First let me just say, I don't like you...at all. Now that's outta the way, that's high praise from Toney. And sometimes James says things he means, this was probably one of those times, but remember he also said Iran Barkley hit him harder than Sam Peter. I've never seen the Toney vs McCallum fights, but judgin by the scores they were damn close fights.

Very likely they did duck him.. Certainly it would have been logical for any of them to fight him at 154 or 160, aside from the fact that he wasn't as big a name as they were... I know Thomas Hearns gave him the nickname, "bodysnatcher" after sparring with him at Kronk... And even if you've only seen McCallum fight Roy Jones, that should tell you right there how good he was in his prime, considering that fight was about 10 years past it and 20 lbs heavier... And he still gave a prime Roy Jones his toughest fight of anyone, bar none(imo, but I don't see an arguement). Anyways, he would KILL De la Hoya, absolutely brutalize him to the body and would win a one sided affair by stoppage.

One thing I'll give Oscar credit for is that no one, I don't care what great fighter it is, would have an easy time beating him. They may win convicingly, but it would by no means be a breeze. Even though Hopkins KOd him and was clearly winning the fight up to that point, I'm sure even Bernard would say Oscar was far from his easiest win. I think Oscar's too talented to get blown out by anyone, however McCallum would still win, probably in similar fashion to Bernard.
