Ward is a moron... His inactivity has proven that he doesn't want to fight at all.
it would be a good fight but Ward is hardly in a position to comment on other peoples career, he's had 5 fights in 5 years, its time for him to either shit or get off the pot, he can talk about GGG ducking him when the Kov fight is signed sealed and delivered.
Yeah the spotlight is on GGG as always but now that its on Canelo and GGG; Ward is grabbing for the light.
I hate Ward but it's absolutely hilarious to me he cleaned out 168, and wanted to fight the best at 160 before fighting the best at 175(which Ward has signed to do) and somehow he's the bad guy.
But a 34 year old guy who has fought nobody turns him down and is the good guy.
I've seen it before when PAC backed out of the Mayweather fight in 2010, and I see one clear similarity.(actually 2, as both times the guy that would have lost is the good guy that refused)
I agree that Ward is a great fighter who has proven that he will fight anyone. Have to disagree strongly with your statement that Pac backed out of the Floyd fight in 2010. I recall both fighters refusing to compromise and the fight falling apart.
Also, think you mischaracterize certain points in your statement. Floyd was hated because of the persona he created to promote himself and make more money, not because the a Manny fight fell through. Ward is a lot like Tim Tebow to me: a religious guy who wins and puts in honest work and is despised by many (for some unknown reason).
I don't think its a case that people despise Ward, far from it, I think people find him massively frustrating due to his lack of fights, everyone recognises that he is a massive talent but over the past few years we have just not seen that talent enough
Who is the Ward fella?
Is this the same guy that won a convoluted Super 6 tournament beating 2 grade A super middles who many in hindsight now deem to be unworthy for the Hall?
The same guy that made an 8 year 175 pounder fight him at 168?
The same guy that when he had no stars to fight at 168 went on strike?
The same guy who said after the tournament that he may have to go to 175?
The same guy that instead of calling out the 175 crowd started calling out a little middleweight by today’s standards while he was sitting out in frivolous lawsuits which he lost 3 times?
You mean that Ward?
What a frustrating fighter Ward is, he's talented but for fucks sake, he's had 29 fights and only 7 fights have been outside his home state of California and out of the 22 fights IN California 8 of those fights have been literally in his backyard! His hometown of Oakland. And of the fights away from Oakland quite a few are just an hour away in San Jose.
Sorry bud if you want to be a WORLD's champion and really be taken seriously you've got to travel!
GGG isn't the only fight out there for him, I'd like to see him fight Kovalev.
Whats that? Sorry, we can't hear you throwing your tantrum from the shadows... It's funny how after he's already been x'd out of the picture, HE'S gonna declare that someone else missed the boat. Get real. Someones cranky because that green eyed monsters taking a big wet bite out of his @$$. The guy with nothing comes out of the shadows and expects the guy with 3 titles, whos lining up to fight another belt holder at his weight, and chasing the consecutive win streak for defenses to drop everything, put on weight and take a fight a division higher so that the guy with nothing can have a shot at jumping back into the limelight and line his pockets.
Boo Hoo, someone cheated you out of a pay day to fight someone you would have had a natural advantage over. Now you really have to earn it fighting someone your own size. He makes it sound like he left 168, when he was forced out when couldn't make the weight anymore. His last fight was at 175 and the one before that was a catch weight of 172. I guess it would have been easier to sue GGG also but he he's already 0 for 2 in court. I don't think i have any respect left for this two faced BS artist....
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Ward is looking backwards still running his mouth when the real train on the track is the big smiling toothy jacklantern named Kovalev right around the corner. Action will always trump words and Ward ate more than enough jabs and looked very much human last out and better stop living off peak wins of five years ago.
