Well it sucks for BRowne if he really didn't knowingly take anything. Losing the title and six months out puts him right back to square one and he's not a young fighter, this could mean he'll never get a big payday when he otherwise could have.

Now Chagaev has to decide if he will unretire to fight Oquendo again, lol. Maybe they could create a raffle to win the belt online and generate more money and interest that way.

If I were Chageav after being flattened, the last thing I'd like to do is struggle to beat Fres again only to very likely face a monster like Ortiz. Not clear on Browne but if he tested positive twice? than that's that and the 6 months out will take a toll.

By the time the fight would happen, Ortiz may not be much fresher than those guys . I'd have him as even money with any of the few top HWs for right now, it would be a shame to see him toil around waiting for a chance to beat the Oquendo-Chagaev 2 winner in 2017 and miss the boat.

the b sample is just from the same sample , they just divide it up into two seperate containers and test the a one first and if something dodgy comes up they will test the b one to make sure there was no mistakes in the testing .. so he's still only tested positive twice..

I would think he has just eaten dodgy beef but good luck proving it russia. At least it was just the fake world title he was stripped of.

It's just a trinket to us, but it's basically the mans career as well and if he really just ate meat to test positive, then it's brutal for him. He could have defended it a couple times for far more money than he's ever gotten, or cashed out in a unification fight. Now? He's fucked.

Fury said that he wouldn't even drink bottled water before the Vlad fight unless it came from his own camp, I remember thinking the man was a paranoid fool then just a month or two later this happened to Brown.

Normally I assume the worst of fighters, everyone is a cheating drug addled cunt in my eyes but for some reason I believe Brown.

Feel sorry for the bloke (if he is telling tte truth) that's his career down the shitter, as someone else said he ain't exactly the youngest fighter ever is he

Based on what’s happening in Russia right now one would think they'd give him the benefit of doubt but none of us here knows what the metabolic rate of this chemical is, reaction times, parts per etc etc. Would the test come back as it did had he recently ate a spiked steak or drank it from a glass of water? Or did the test show that it was in the system for a time?

if he can convince the anti drugs agency that he unknowingly consumed it in beef he will not be suspended, it's happened a few times before, unfortunatley he would need to prove where it came from, if he eat something bad he would need receipts and such like, proof that the farm doses their cows and so on, so I don't think that would be very easy in the part of the world he was in at the time..

He has claimed he had a drug test around just after he arrived in russia(i think) and that one was trouble free.

You've got to think that any boxer going into a high profile fight has people who should be taking care of this kind of stuff. Going down the market for a big slab of beef without knowing what is in it in the days leading up to a fight seems kind of reckless to me.

I think the six month ban reflects that he tested earlier and was clean, but equally you've got to put the responsibility firmly on his team's shoulders.

Does anyone remember hearing about what happened to Oquendo when he fought Chagaev in Russia? That's why he was able to win a court case and keep himself as the mandatory when he hasn't even fought since then. I give Browne some benefit of the doubt for that alone.

It never really occurred to me how a guy just lands in another culture in regards to local diet and everything else from laws, live stock and time zones and the next day, week etc is adjusting. Chagaev vs Fres was shady enough with the president of the Country rallying for him ringside and essentially working his corner . I can only imagine having to keep track of meals and you'd be collecting info and receipts like business expenses. Glad I'm not a fighter as I'd struggle with the line of feeling like I was on vacation in a foreign land for the first time or there to come in the underdog with the deck stacked against me and stay focused. The same sample divided seems to really be testing the test itself but if both are tested regardless of first result than ok. I thought they did pre and post samples also. Basically for all of you would be guys going-coming overseas...pack a lunch.
