And Floyd dominated him at Jr Middleweight. I'd take at least 3 guys at 154 to beat him. They knew that so they hid at Caneloweight

It's the modern cronyist definition of P4P. Take a little bit of ginger so you have the repressed minority aspect, add a pinch of dumb nationalistic fervor, then add a whole bunch of crappy matchups using CW's and blown up small men with propaganda to say 'Phwoar!'. There you have your artificial contemporary P4P ranked fighter.
Canelo is smoke and mirrors. He is waiting to be Lacy'ed.

you guys are harsh on canelo, he has a glaring weakness with his lack of footspeed and isnt great at pinning the opponent down but he seems to have really good hands, a good defence and a fair bit of power too. He has also beaten a very good level of competition in recent memory, beating cotto, trout and lara is not easy. I would think he is deserving of being in a top ten p4p list right now(probably not top 5 though) also i think if he ever does fight golovkin it will be a lot closer than people think.
In my opinion he is way better than lacy .

What p4p rankings are we talking? The ones printed in Papa Oscars glamour magI think they jumped the shark of credibility when Broner was ranked #5. p4p has much less to do with actual skillset and accomplishment and more to do with marketability and status.
Canelo is in my top ten guys I'd have a beer with on this site, in case you guys needed something quantifiable.
P4P has been blown out of proportion.
I interpret it as a fighter that would dominate if he weighed 140lbs or 180lbs. His skills transcend weight class.
To the boxing brethren across the pond 6 stone or 7...
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
BTW....what class is 6 or 7 stone?![]()
