Just before Briggs landed the last shot McGuigan was just about to say that Briggs had blown himself out and was looking tired and I agree. That shape Briggs has although admirable to get from 400lbs I dont think is just hard work and dedication...
If he is to stand any chance against anyone in the top 50 he needs to be doing much more cardio work, running, sparring etc. Id like to see him do well because I do believe he has inspired near suicidal people not to give up on themselves and he is a good ambassador.
He said after the fight that he weighs 250lb currently but he expects to be closer to 235lb in a September fight so hopefully he can lay off the weights some and work on being sharp, reflexes, movement and stamina. He can only do so much when hes going to be 45 but he can still punch and Hayes resistance wont have got any better so there is a chance.
