anybody doesnt think 2 Ton was a tough sonnofabitch better get some EYEGLASSES. Louis was out on his feet. What a chin!
I saw Tony's grave last week in Orange, NJ, there's a nice plaza on Main Street called TWO TON TONY GALENTO PLAZA. Best pizzeria in the WORLD is a few blocks from there, called STAR TAVERN PIZZERIA.
He used to run through those streets down Main St , down High Street, turn left onto Scotland Road, I'm gonna go run over there in his honor, he trained at 2 a.m.
He was sure tough, but it doesn't make Joe look to good....
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
lOUIS told a reporter from the star ledger of
newark, nj newspaper that Galento was tougher than Marciano.
Tough, yes. But those are Toughman type skills.
The fat man walks through this CW division. He wouldn't need no stinkin' skills to take a belt or two today.
Two Ton shows up at the weigh in with calzone in hand.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
If I could go back in a time machine I would visit Jack Dempsey’s famous restaurant that he opened after he retired and have a cup of tea. It would be magic.
Tea
NOTES ON NEW YORK • A Return to Jack Dempsey's Broadway Restaurant
I mean I guess they would have hot tea what with the restaurant being in New York, but Jesus wouldn't you want something more substantial and (ahem) AMERICAN than tea? You would be at Jack Dempsey's Restaurant not at Buckingham Palace. I wouldn't be ordering barbecue if I was visiting jolly old England, I'd be getting acquainted with the culture calling trucks lorries and shit.
