Oh but it was SOOOOO much fun watching him go from "I'm going to retire by 30 as champion after beating Wladimir" to "I'm going to have a super fight with Shannon Briggs" at age 35.

He talked so much shit for so fucking long and I'm happy he's broke, I couldn't be more pleased.....seeing Briggs knock him out would actually be the icing on the cake though. Then I will guarantee you there will be a rematch vs Chisora!

I hadnt considered this but watching Eddie Hearn on IFL last night he doesnt think Haye v Briggs will happen. Briggs wants to get paid but whos going to buy the fight to give the funds for the purses?

Briggs wont accept chump change I dont think knowing it could be his last fight. Haye will have to find another bum with a ranking.

Can you imagine the reality of the fight? Both would be exhausted by the third round after lots of swinging and missing and would need oxygen between rounds.

No one still knows how much worse Hayes stamina has got.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I think Haye sucks because he ran his mouth so much and then put in a non effort vs Wladimir. I could've forgiven his cowardly tactics if he had shown some character and balls by admitting that Wlad was just too big and too skilled for him, but instead he blamed it on his pinkie toe. What a vagina.

    i agree with Mikeeod.

Haye really annoys me because he loves himself so much. Watch him being interviewed and he keeps closing his eyes when he talks about himself, just like a cat being stroked.

He loves the celebrity circuit and all the trappings of fame. Those things don't make real fighters.

His non effort against Wlad was shameful, then to blame a wide wide wide loss on a broken toe! If you can't fight properly due to injury, you shouldn't get in the ring (yes, Manny, you too). That is cheating the paying fans.

Talking of which, Haye has no problem in cheating the fans as most of his fights have been zero risk affairs that allow him to blow people away quickly without getting touched. His last two 'fights' have been total con jobs.

He disrespects the sport, and he disrespects fans.

The REALLY annoying thing is that it didn't have to be like this. Haye is (was) fast, strong, skilful and he could really hit. As an offensive machine, he was exciting and dangerous. He likes hurting people and has that vicious streak.

When I look back on his career in years to come, it will be as one of unfulfilled promise. He has always had a stamina problem, and that will be worse now he is bigger. Anyone who can withstand five rounds or so will IMO stop an exhausted Haye.

Nicely written article, Whyte makes no money (and why should it), Wilder wont fight him unless its for a title and big money - the top 3 are not UK box office, rightly or wrongly.

Box office is bollocks ppv crap. AJ is manufactured/political by Sky and Hearn to become box office but they could easily do the same for Haye and Fury if they wanted. They sold Bellew v Cleverly fight as ppv as well as Haye v Audley so they can do it for anything.
