Wow! Bellew knocked him out clean in the 3rd round.

It was the left hook that finished him off.

It was the left hook that wobbled Makabu in the first place.

Fair play to Bellew, it seemed like he was getting troubled especially when he got caught in the first round. He did however identify when he troubled Makabu, and showed a real killer instinct to finish it from there.

Yes he won us over and is hyped up about the whole event. Good luck to him, no one can begrudge him this night.

Just watched it, impressed by Bellew, but I guess that's why you don't make predictions after only seeing highlights and reading a guys record :P

Makabu isn't a big cruiser obviously, but how on earth did Bellew make 175? Think he'll take one of the other champions next? Lebedev and Glowacki are also both southpaws, for what that's worth. No way those would be as easy as tonight but I would have said Bellew wouldn't have a chance and now I'm not sure.

I recorded this because I've been out tonight.
All I can say is you're all a bunch of cunts! You all told me this guy would beat Bellew giving me hope.
Now he's ko'd the guy early and is World Champion and we are never gonna hear the end of this smug fucker!

I tihnk his first mandatory is against the latvian breidis who doesn't look too good, so bellew will have a successful couple of defences too !

I don't have any personal opinion on Bellew haha, but I can't see him unifying or anything. Didn't think he'd be any good at all at cruiser though, having watched just a few of his fights and very little of Makabu it seemed pretty reasonable to pick against him here. Would definitely do so again if he were to try and unify, so keep your head up
