Might have been different, he was pretty gassed. Also, Abraham does definatly deserves some credit and showed lots of heart.Originally Posted by Starr

First of all this was a great, great fight very bloody, the most bloody I've seen in a long time...
Abraham bled from his mouth like Corrales against Casamayor in their first fight, only that the ring doc didn't stop Abraham from fighting on like the doc did with Corrales...
Give Abraham some respect even without the point deduction he most probably would have won.
And to fight on with an injury like this, showed his big heart, which I didn't think he had...
Even with this distraction for Abraham,Miranda wasn't able to beat Abraham...
Miranda had power(like expected) and a good chin, but not the means to win this fight, beside a lucky punch...
Before the Abraham haters criticise him again or talk about some lousy decisions in Germany,
WATCH THE FIGHT !!!

CC dan, great work bro! Do you think Miranda would have won had it not been for the 3 points deducted?

Rematch anyone?Originally Posted by Starr

Miranda did fight dirty and landed those low blows(and the headbutt) even in the US he would have gotten points deducted and Abraham his 5 minute recovery...
Again I agree about some bad decisions in Germany, but those can be mainly pinned on two boxers,
Sven Ottke and Markus Beyer (Valuev vs Larry Donald, too)...But you seem to forget all the other
big names fighting(or fought) fair and square in Germany with no gifted decisions:Felix Sturm,Zsolt Erdei, both Klitschkos,Dariusz Michalczewski...and Arthur Abraham...
Only because of two names you bitch around Germany this and that...and you seem to forget about
crap decisions in the US pretty fast...,well...Toney vs Peter ain't that long ago just to remind you...

It was actually 5 points deducted and yes, Abraham would have won by MD on Jugdes without points, and 115-114 on my scorecard, Miranda was frustrated all night, Abraham is an excellent counter puncher and has a winky'esque guard, tight as a drum, nearly every round, Miranda would pound on Abrahams guard, land 1 or 2 per 10 and then Abraham would counter with some heavy shots, and steal the round, he's a smart fighter, but, Abraham got very tired, and his mouth was absolutly fucked. Later it got on, the worse Abraham started to cheat, he blew himsel out in the 7th when Miranda was hurt. Abraham was the better fighter, but Germany gave Miranda no hope in hell.

deducted the points or some points,if Miranda would have been disqualified because
of repeated low blows Abraham would have retained his title...
Instead Miranda still got a chance or two to knock Abraham out,but botched it with
another low blow...

No no, I'm not saying Abraham wasn't the better fighter, I'm saying the 5 points taken from miranda and the terrible refereeing, giving abraham time to rest, all that gave miranda no chance atr all.

yeah, you're basically saying that you'd rather Abraham show if he was the better fighter or not without the ref's help and he had opportunity but he didn't need the "insurance"Originally Posted by yoitsdan
A far as I could see, there were no low blows landed at all, they were above the top half of the belt by a mile, the head butt deserved a warning, thats it. I've seen so many german fights and they are all the same. I've seen every major fight over the last 3 years (And many more less important fights) and I know cheating or poor refing/officiating when I see it.

Exactly. No diss to Abraham, with his mouth as bad as it was, its incredible he carried on. Miranda showed the physical promise made the hype he had more than justified, but he was greener than a fucking frog, it showed, with experience he'll be a monster middleweight, but he was outclassed by the inprime, solid techinician, tough, well schooled and excellent defenced, big counter punching Abraham, the better man, but not without the unneeded insurance that is what comes with German boxing venues, that stupid german TV channel and Sauelrland production/pomotion.Originally Posted by Starr
