I got Belgium and wife got France.

Sterling final distribution was poor but worth keeping the same team.

The problem I have with Sterling is that it's a tournement and you might not get a lot of time to do your thing. Over the course of a season sure he can show flashes or real quality, but thats not good enough in a format where you might only get 3 games. I said at the time his feet move at least twice as fast as his brain can cope with, we seem to be brilliant at producing these kind of players and then giving them international caps. A hark back to the old days of bigger faster I guess. But surely someone should have clocked by now that technically, the bloke just doesnt have the goods?
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Home after a short French trip to see the Wales v Slovakia game.

Although we were aware of all the trouble happening up in Marseille with the Russians and the English, the atmosphere down in Bordeaux was amazing. Everyone was enjoying the drink, and although tram and bus driver strikes on Saturday morning were a little annoying, the rest of it was absolutely fantastic. The French were welcoming, and worked hard with such an influx of people, while it was a nice city and the Slovakia fans and us mingled well, trying to outvoice each other with chants from time to time, but never a hint of all the trouble.

The fan zone where we watched the second half of the England game was also great, superb atmosphere, and a great place to celebrate after an amazing day. Hope Thursday's game and the game against Russia go off without any more of this ridiculous hooliganism.

I have a bad feeling about the Welsh game

Just can see Bale having a moment of genius and doing us.

Still can't believe Russia got a draw against us but there's a real chance to progress by finishing top of the group

Even the 3rd team can qualify, we can do it.

We were talking about this on the way home from France yesterday. I reckon that one realistic prospect is that there is more violence from those Russian hooligans. If that is the case, then I think all their games will be void, therefore giving Slovakia, England and Wales all three points, and actually putting all three teams through to the next round. I think everyone would be happy with that prospect?
