So I am assuming Kovalev still fights Chilemba on July 11th and Ward is till going to fight TBA on August 6 first?
It's a pick em in many ways but I think Kovalev's activity and experience at the weight may mean Ward Struggle to dictate things. I don't see him as being strong enough to move Kovalev around with the ease he has managed other opponents but conversely other than an ageing Hopkins, the big Russian will not have had to decode someone with such a complete defensive armory as the self styled 'Soldier of God'.
Kovalev late by TKO or shock stoppage. Ward will struggle to keep out of the corners and be punished by his lack of fights recently. Kovalev stopping people may not be so shocking but derailing Ward even with his late arrival at the weight would have to be seen as a mark of quality and a big surprise.
