At the end, I've always said that fonfara isn't very good. He is a tough guy who seems to have worked hard to get where he was at. It's commendable but sometimes you just aren't talented enough to make it to the top.

So now is it going to be Smith vs Stevenson? I'm sure Stevenson is ecstatic that he gets another easy opponent.
Hard worker for sure. Very fortunate to have had so many home town fights. Last time I saw him at the UIC Pavilion several fights stole his thunder. He has to grind out wins even at home.

Yeah he looks really average lets be honest, nice punch he landed while hurt but he didn't have to show anything else. Fonfara is a guy who has always been solid and workmanlike but not that talented, and he was basically caught cold trying to finish this guy in the first round.

No doubt Stevenson will honor this mandatory though, that guy must not want anything to do with fighting anyone.

I'd never even heard of Smith. They said he has a day job on a building site. Nice story. There's not such a thing as a lucky punch, nobody tries to punch thin air/miss.

He's already got seven losses so I don't see him making some kind of Pavlik breakout but I hope he gets a decent payday or two out of that KO. I enjoyed that. I love it when the house fighter gets beat by the underdog, especially when they get sparked.
