Default Amir Khan v Ricky Hatton

Peak for peak at 140lb Hatton that fought Kostya against Khan having his new trainer not Roach so utilising his defence and speed

    Who wins?

Hatton's prime - beating one of the top P4P boxers to win his title.
    Khan's Prime - beating Devon Alexander. 😂😂😂

Khan by UD or Hatton by KO are the only endings here

I'm not sure Hatton had the one punch power to put Khan in trouble and wouldn't land enough to wear him down.

If Khan sticks to his gameplan then my money on him

I know he's an idiot and doesn't but I'd still go for him

I think Hatton wins, probably by KO maybe by UD

I just think there is a weakness about khan and its not just his chin, he doesn't seem physically strong enough for the top level and the chin obviously doesn't help

its possible he could move his way to a decision but I think a prime hatton would catch up to him

Khan was very good at 140lb and he was reckless against Maidana but showed a lot of heart and desire. With his current trainer Virgil Hunter and discipline to just box and not have a war he would cause Ricky a lot of problems.

As stated by Mark, who normally knows very little about boxing, Hatton was not a big single puncher like Prescott or Garcia. Unless Hatton lands that left hook to the body I do not see Ricky stopping Khan.

My thoughts are that Hatton would have tired Khan out by constantly cutting off the ring and working the body. Then when the moment comes, I think Khan goes down with a shot to the head. It would perhaps be a scrappy looking performance from Hatton, maybe a bit like the Maussa showing where he struggles to look good against the gangly, awkward fighter, but the tenacity would show through in the end.

Khan has shown that he can look good in the first few rounds against anyone, but if you have grit and a bit of pop, you can grind him down or bop him out eventually. His stamina isn't all that and he has a low ring IQ.

Khan had stamina, focus, and chin issues throughout his career. All three are significant detriments against Hatton. Ricky savages Khan, breaks his will, and stops him within 8.

Can see arguments for both. However, Khan wouldn't have a hope in hells of keeping a pomp Hatton off him. And Hatton wasn't Julian Jackson but be certainly wasn't a powderpuff hitter, he definitely scrambles Khan's bonce.

If Khan couldn't keep Peterson off him and lost imagine what Hatton would have done.

Yep, people are looking at this wrong. Both guys are front runners. If they don't pick how the fight goes they come apart. Of course Khan would give him fits at range. And of course Ricky would dominate inside, Khan can't fight a lick inside. So, how would the fight be faught? Not a chance in hell Khan keeps Ricky off him so not a chance in hell for Khan.
