It's not the mods fault, who said that? There is a difference now though. When the majority of non boxing posts on the other boards are started by someone with obsessive compulsive disorder then of course the sheer volume and repetitive nature of them will change the landscape. Add to that the little gang mentality that has four or five cyber bum chums constantly ego stroking each other and absolutely never deviating from their group manifesto mentality and then it all becomes very babyish and bland. @Calling is now a shared compulsion and the very first reaction to another opinion is attack and deride enmasse. So most people stay out of those threads and it's just a big long list of Google and YouTube quotes and clips restating their own prejudices and bolstering their entrenched position. Threads used to ebb and flow and while people may not have changed their opinion at least a neutral reader could look at opinions from both sides. Respect for other posters is simply non existent unless they comply and toe the party line. I am not part of and have no wish to be part of that gang and yet even you, who are a pretty laid back and balanced guy, pretend that I am somehow supposed to just not express any kind of emotion in response and should just accept the new flow. It is partly my fault for not starting enough threads with an alternative viewpoint anymore but I simply do not have the time. It also gets kind of tiring to have to climb a mountain to just start from a level playing field. You mention anything about your personal life and if you are not invite gang you are just branded a liar, a mental health patient or junkie etc. If it was not for the boxing side I would have left like many others. Rarely see half the gang on fight Night threads which always used to be the great leveler but I am glad about that really, that really could be the final straw. Just wish it was not so one sided and repetitive on the other boards but am not surprised that the ones who have repeatedly stuck their middle fingers up to the mods and dissed most of the other posters and the forum have taken over the asylum.
