Although the way the press and fans beat em up it could be hard for england to develop properly, there seems to be a lot of unnecessary pressure following the team always.. The squad was one of the weakest for england for quite a while and it didn't work out for them. No need to crucify them.
Iceland are also way better than people seem to be giving them credit for, they were 25th in the world last year, which is not great but it's not like it's a bunch of fishermen england lost to. They finished ahead of the dutch and turkey in their qualifying group, and then beat austria and finished ahead of portugal in the group stage :S.... Lars Lagerback is also a very experienced manager. Good work from iceland, this team has been coming for a while, I remember back in 2010 their under 21 team gave scotland a going over in the qualifiers for some under 21 competition( i think european)... it is icelands golden generation right now and hats off to them.
