What in the hell.. This makes Khan-Canelo seem like a fight that was logical and hard to call beforehand.

Hearn didnt look comfortable in the post fight press conference when Eubank sr was asking for the fight and now we know why.

Hearn didnt want Eubank getting anywhere near Golovkin. Hes stalled them big time. They resorted to calling him out on twitter so they can get the cntract, like an employer desperately trying to get hold of an employee whos gone awol.

maybe Brook is just the first announcement, it could be a tag team, GGG v Brook and Jr

it might sound unlikely but with people dressing up like batman and all the staged ring invasions after fights and back room brawls (Del boy and Whyte) boxing is starting to resemble wrestling

    fuck it

I usually understand GGG's opponents but this one is crazy. Brook is a welter. It doesn't matter that he is a big welter. He is still a welter. Maybe he had no other choice and Brook is the only named fighter he could get on short notice? It will make GGG a bigger name to British fans but still, I don't get the fight.

People need to freaking step up and fight GGG! I can't stand a mismatch like this just because the underdog wants to get paid and its a no lose situation for them. Well, at least in America it's not on PPV it looks like. Sorry British fans. You have to pay for this farce.

This has taken some of the edge of GGG for me.

The difference in height is an inch and half to GGG and the reach difference is an inch to GGG, which is not really huge, but if brook is hoping to pack on 14 lbs of muscle without losing any speed or maneuverability he's mistaken. Conditioning alone is gonna be a steep incline to climb. This isn't roy jones going up to fight ruiz. This isn't even a spinks going up to fight tyson.

I get it. fights have to be made but after what he said about canelo vs khan not being good for boxing fans, i'm a kinda disappointed.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Hearn: Eubanks Made The Gennady Golovkin Deal IMPOSSIBLE! - Boxing News
I fucking love this! You can tell when Ross goes into defence mode , because he posts and posts and posts pure fantasy!
Read the comments by Hearn , they made it IMPOSSIBLE to make a deal.
Now you can play psycho analyst and think Hearn didn't look comfortable or whatever you want to think, But Eubank was the challenger and GGG was coming to his back yard, it should've been an easy fight to make and an easy decision for Eubank. After all,Brook has taken it with all the same terms in a heartbeat! And Brook is a World Champion , whereas Eubank is only operating at British Level! Hahahahahahaha.

I was just about to post that. Ross talking shite as usual. Eubanks making unreal demands showing they never wanted the fight just looking for publicity. Heard he will be fighting Adam Ethes on the under card which in all honesty isnt the worst fight.

Cant see how Brook wins this fight and expect a GGG KO in the mid rounds. Pretty frustrating we get Khan Canelo and GGG Brook when we really want Khan Brook and GGG Canelo. Lets hope the losers fight each other

    "Yeah but Hearn said"

You will see, Eubank will have the last laugh. Brook will get flattened and Hearn will go running back to offer the Golovkin fight to Eubank only it will be much bigger because Golovkin would have a hilight reel KO on English soil against and english fighter to promote the fight more.

Brook is getting paid to lose. Eubank lots of people think in here can win. No one thinks Brook can

Interestingly bookies give both Eubank and Brook similar odds for a win.

Silks, don't start mentioning Bookies, we all know Ross hasn't got a fucking scooby doo about how odds are set!
Personally , I give Brook more or less as much chance of beating GGG as I did Eubank Jr. , which is very little. After all, Brook is 2 weights lighter, but he is a World Champion, whereas Eubank Jr. Is British level, so it more or less balances it out.
Oh, wait a minute, Brook has MORE chance because he actually signed up for the fight!

Personally I think Brook should be bigger price than Eubank was. If Eubank and Brook were to fight at middlewight Id have Eubank as fav. If Brook puts up a good performance and loses a Eubank Brook fight would be very entertaining.

In my book, the only think that possibly sways it Eubank's way is his height and reach advantage. Brook will not let Eubank pose and throw fairground uppercuts from the back of the arena! Not cut and dried in my book.

147 to 160 is a big ask of any fighter, this is really surprising and I can't see how it's competitive I rate Brook highly, but I'm not sure how he'd do at 154, what is this all about? Also wonder whether Canelo-Brook was talked about? That would have been a very interesting, competitive fight at 154.

I did not see this 1 coming either. But now that is going to happen I think it is another pointless fight and beating Brook (like Khan) means zilch to GGG's career. He would not fight Ward who said he would fight him but he wants to fight blown up Welters. What a joke. I hope Brook whoops him senseless. GGG is still overrated in my opinion and he stays that way until he fights someone meaningful. Definition of cherry pickinggg has a picture of Gennady next to it..
