Again...it isn't establishment politicians fighting Trump. An establishment politician yesterday tried to back Ash up by motion to (freeze) RNC rules. That failed as well.

Yes there are active politicians against Trump, but so are a number of Right Wing conservative writers, bloggers to talk show host and many Evangelicals But they are in the same boat as Liberals to mainstream media...that being....

Jack squat to stop Trump.

It is a fight between ....
Strictly between
...Republican delegates arguing to enforce State rules
or
an old party rule that allows dissent of a candidate binding vote.

If Trump somehow loses his nominee:
Man up, don't punk out, reassign blame.
Blame the fighting delegates elected to represent your choice.

....I don't see anyone pulling him out of the race especially if the reports are true and Mike Pence is his VP pick. Pence is just a stand in for Cruz whom he had originally endorsed and if that is the case then Ted Cruz will be kicking himself for allowing what could have been his shot at VP slip away.

Republican Ben Sasse of Nebraska is one of the few to speak out now, because both organizations claim death threats sent to them.

Again the rules in place is what got Reagan almost elected in 1976 i am sure you remember. While he eventually conceded..he got that far by using rules that today's RNC want nullified.

Not because she offers an alternative to any other Democratic politicians.

My point:
Not every Republican voter will call him the things you did...then decide to vote for him simply because he got the nominee.

That to me is why so many delegates are going to Cleveland to fight for a candidate other than Trump. They still feel what you felt about Trump.

Not the media, not Democrats, not establishment politicians ...rather Common people who are livid with the outcome of Trump winning the nominee.

I just want those who are outside the U.S. to know it isn't the establishment fighting mad. Its the Tea Party factions to the Libertarian Party backing the disgruntled delegates via the NeverTrump and FreeTheDelegates movement.
