Was Crawford's win the result of using the sweet science?

I watched an old fight last week, that I'd say the sweet science was used: Believe it or not....Marvin Haglar. He is known to stand and trade (Mugabi, Hearns) or chase down and cuttoff (Leonard).

Not so against Bennie Briscoe. Haglar moved as much as Ray did against him. Differing in that Ray would run, stop, throw, then run\move again.

Haglar chose spots to stand and trade, then circle, move away (while) throwing.
Talk about Crawford switch hitting, Haglar did it to Briscoe.
Marvin didn't go toe to toe with another bald head Philadelphia fighter: He employed a sweet method of fighting inside, outside, Orthodox, southpaw that won the fight.
Not brawling all night, but picking his shots wisely.
    Aka The Sweet science.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!

Hagler was awesome when he was not champion probably at his peak.

Marvin became more flat footed and relied on his chin and conditioning the older he got.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
