I think Toledo said that he considered Liebling a beautiful or great writer or something, and it's hard for anyone writing in the field not to be influenced by such a great. I have read some of his work on 'The Sweet Science' site but never any of his books or collections of essays. I am going to check him out now, as soon as I have made my way through the current pile at my bedside. I love boxing writing and am starting to build up quite a comprehensive boxing library now.
