Islam is the Uncle Rico of religions...it is stuck in the past soooooo bad. Christianity has been where Islam currently finds itself only Christianity didn't divide itself along racial/ethnic lines quite so much the way Islam has Shia/Sunni/Kurd, those are ethnic differences AND religious differences. People in the Middle East are STILL pissed off about the fucking Crusades....yeah, like the Muslims didn't conquer Spain and encroach on Europe pre-Crusades, I guess those were all peaceful and lovey dovey .....point being is that shocker some Islamic fundamentalists/Militant Islamists are irrationally pissed off about something that their Great great great great great great Grandparents never even experienced first hand!

Now do/did people of Iran have reason to hate the Shah of Iran? Maybe, the people of Iran saw him as a puppet of the west and a lover of western life and apparently took offense to that....so there was a disconnect between the ruler and the people....ok I understand that. Do/did the people of Saudi Arabia have a reson to hate all those in the House of Saud....sure, they seem to be pretty assholey and corrupt and hell some of those in the House of Saud hate America and the West. America and the West, have in the past treated the Middle East in much the same manner America treated the Indians (Native Americans if you will) and so trust ain't the strong suit here and it's understandable....but how will trust be rebuilt through terrorism? how will terrorism solve the problems we have? Peace through conquest? I don't see Islam being successful in that campaign although they're giving it a go in Europe and politicians are allowing it much to the dismay of the populace and that my friends is going to stir up more shit!

In a perfect world Islam would be compatible with Classical Liberalism the way Christianity has become....yes there are still religious fundamentalists in Christianity as well, but few and far between and certainly not as driven or willing to inflict pain on a massive scale, McVeigh and Rudolph are the last I know of who have done so on a scale similar to ISIS and Al Qaeda. To enact a special tax for nonbelievers or to force a conversion to the religion....that's mutually exclusive with the 21st century in my book and I am not going to accept that, not today, not tomorrow, not next week, next year, or in my next lifetime, that's a nonstarter and is part of Islam that should be kicked to the curb along with the Cousin It outfit and segregation of sexes for things like prayer...how uncontrolled are Muslims anyway? You can't concentrate if a woman in a head to toe hijab/burqua what have you is in the same room as you? THAT my friends is "toxic masculinity" if there is such a thing. "Oh, I'm so virile I can't even stand to be in the same room with a member of the opposite sex"....horseshit.

Judging by clients and people I've personally dealt with sure. But not being Islam or terribly religious at all I don't know or pretend to. But finding hypocrisy and a lunatic fringe in all religions has proven as common as the sun rising. If you find peace in a religion and can manage to not blow shit up or kill those who question..all the power to you.

Yeah but at the present moment Islam is kinda having a pandemic of this stuff....being a Christian, I'd LOVE to help, and I like people celebrating whatever deity they choose to worship.....I just have issues with HOW they practice such religions is all. Going to the Mosque singing the prayers, helping the less fortunate, that's brilliant, God bless them....blowing up random people, stabbing, cutting off heads not so much and it ain't Christians doing that at the moment....oh believe you me, we have had our days where that was totally our bag, but not recently

It is a shame the evil and distortion that is done in name of so many religions that may on their own bring so many actual peace and awareness. Maybe I'm off but have always thought the true benefit and worth of religion begins with the individual, core in practice and living it rather than just reading a script or words on a page. It can be cheapened beyond belief.
