Brother all Trump did was watch the news and have someone read The Wall Street Journal story to him and go out and act like he's the amazing Kreskin lip-syncing and repeating it days later. Talking heads from major networks all had people saying it was flat out to coincidental and smelled. Many calling it obvious massaging of payment agreement mentioned in press conference on Jan. 17th. A day after the nuclear deal was implemented. Other called it flat ransom.
What some in mainstream press did go after him for was his repeated insistence that he saw some fantasy plane offload money and that he received "secret video" from officials and Iran. Turns out again he just regurgitated what Fox reported and had to walk it back and say he was mistaken. And as crazy as it seems, when you run for President and speak on foreign policy and make yourself out to be bigger than the story you get called on it and it's reported. Bias in media is well established and a two lane highway where you have to dig in between to come close to actual facts.
What Trump did was have someone tell him about an Iranian proganda video that was released days after the Jan. hostage deal. Ironically in the vid they did a piece on hostages released on Reagans inauguration. It also contains doctored footage that is still being shown as recently as days ago regarding a "pallet of cash". Trump saw that video and had to sheepishly bury that fact as he was doing what he's done before..get his talking points and policy from news reports that were thinly put together and in this case a press releases from Iran. I don't doubt for a minute that Obama is as shit slippery as Trump is misinformed, but Rubio was calling BS on this money exchange before Trump knew where Iran was on a map ffs.
