The Nelson and Hearn stuff I didnt see, I dont pay much attention to that only as far as from what I saw from press pics, Golovkin didnt look a million dollars in them so I agree in part.

I was looking at another trainers twitter feed who's at the fight and he made similar comments that he didnt look great and the word is he isnt well.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I think GGG has underrated boxing ability. I know it seems impossible to underrate a guy, who is overrated by the masses, but people seem to think of him as brute puncher, and he appears a lot more than that to me. I don't think you have 300 amateur fights and not know how to box. Remember he out-boxed Dirrell and knocked out Bute in the amateurs.

I hope this fight brings out some of that boxing ability, we don't always see. Adam Booth did a good job describing his style is that he's a pressure-fighting counter puncher, which Booth said is the most dangers type to fight because they pressure you into thinking you have to throw a punch and then counter it, and what makes GGG so dangerous is that he can punch like a mule.

I have felt for a while that Brook was the best welterweight in the world, post the Manny/Floyd era. I think the size is an issue in the sense that it would have been better if Brook had a fight or two at 160 before the GGG fight. But, Brook has fought above the welterweight limit 10 or so times, even if his most recent fight was at 147, and I think he had outgrown 147 - it was just a matter of time until he moved up. When I saw them side-by-side today in photos, they didn't appear that different in size. However, middleweight is clearly GGG's natural weight, and he has to be more comfortable there than Brook, who has never fought there.

At the end of the day, this is the best welter in the world, who had grown out of welterweight, against the best middle in the world. That's an exciting match-up to me.

I favor GGG to lose a round or two early and then figure Brook out and dominate the fight going forward. However, I wouldn't be too surprised with an upset in a bad decision or something if it goes the distance.

I wonder from our British posters - is GGG well known in the UK? Will he have fans at the stadium on Saturday? Or will it be a pro-Brook crowd?
I dont think it will go the distance unless GGG wants rounds under his belt and maybe also make himself look more normal and beatable to some so he gets future fights; cause all those guys you mentioned will be watching it thinking one way or the other and his immediate future relies on them.

I thought he looked ill too, they cut his media commitments short. I also thought he looked a bit fed up all week

Golovkin spent the whole weigh-in looking miserable as fuck, or he wants to kill someone.

    Brook - 159.4
    GGG - 158.9

    Pro Brook crowd.

The pictures make GGG look frail by comparison but really Kel just came in looking like a re-hydrated welterweight. Tomorrow GGG will (obviously) look much bigger.

3G looked fine today compared to yesterday when he def did look drained.
Weird how he did no media interviews and fucked off straight after the weigh in, he never does that ever. He did look bored and moody again like I've never seen him.
Something is either not good with him which they're keeping secret or his in a serious killer mood and wants too really make a devastating statement in his first UK fight.
I think the latter and Brook is getting put too sleep.
Theres also big rumours 3G started training late and did too much hard work in to short a time.
Could of course just be Johnny Nelson trying to give his mate any mental advantage he can

I'm not into all this "Tub thumping " usually , but I have to admit GGG did look drained and unwell.
I hate this, because now , if Brook wins , there's a question mark. Of Course , he could just KO Brook in the 1st, who fucking knows, but it's always shit when there's an excuse ready (I'm not saying GGG's camp would use it btw) but it just leaves an element of doubt about the whole thing.

I hope the event doesn't have that crappy, smoky gray lighting like they usually have for overseas fights.

The only place that I am hearing about GGG being ill, looking ill, and just generally not looking up for it seems to be coming from people who have a vested interest in sky

I reckon it's a ploy to sell more PPV's, everyone knows that GGG is the overwhelming favourite so why bother buying it, all of a sudden GGG looks vulnerable, he's ill, he hasn't trained hard enough, he started training too late etc

'omg is GGG vulnerable, could there be an upset? I should buy this just in case, I'd hate to miss an upset like that'

    job done

GGG has fought loads of bums and has never had a problem getting himself motivated, Brook (even though 2 divisions below) is far from a bum, I doubt that his training camp has been anything other than perfect

I haven't followed a lot of the press stuff, but GGG looked the same as he always has at the weigh in to me, and it would make sense to play almost any angle up a bit last minute for salesmanship.

I have to admit, I have said it's all Sky bull shit but that is purely because I despise Sky

I haven't seen any of the weigh ins or anything so I can form my opinion based only on the text I read on this forum...Eddie Hearn is a cunt though
