When I was the president of amateur boxing in NY in the eighties, there was this wild Brit fighting out of the Jerome Boxing Club in the Bronx. He was a limited fighter who was a willing gunfighter and would step in with the top talent we had anytime it was offered to him. While never becoming a NY champion he was always fun to be around. When his mentor and trainer, Adonis Torres, passed away the boy was devestated. He apparently went back home to continue with what we thought was to be a limited career. Of course he grew up to be Chris Eubank who I can tell you had plenty of fans in the Big Apple.
