i'm a boxing fan and i like to see people punched in the face a lot more often than the regularity that people are punched in the face in mayweather fights

So Floyd needs to get punched in the face more for you to enjoy it? I think Floyd punches the opposition in the face enough. In fact, in the Pacquiao fight, after the first couple of rounds , Pac got hesitant after he felt Floyd's punches. Everyone says he's got no power, but I think he's got enough to make people think twice about walking him down.
The art is to hit and not get hit, and he does that better than anyone else in recent times.
Strange how Ali never used to get accused of running in his prime, but hey ho.

Ali was always accused of being a runner with no power. He was criticised for fighting hand picked opposition, for being open to a left hook, for leaning back from punches and for having no heart.

This lasted until after he was heavyweight champ. The Liston fights made believers of some people but it was only a couple of years after that the criticism of him as a fighter died down.

Of course, h then had about five years criticism for his politics and for his personality and character outside the ring.

i understand the arts of boxing, and I understand floyds skills and why he has achieved so much, but his fights are still shit

As in I think that his personal life is a mess and he does things that hurt others, but I enjoy watching his fights despite that.
