Those foods are full of additives and MSG and they often contain gluten. I tend not to eat something unless I can be sure of the hygiene and what is in it. It is better to just stick with what you know and prepare and handle all food products yourself. If I went to the cafeteria, I would probably only eat rice, so it's just not worth it. If I can prepare my own basic vegetables with a bit of tasty meat and some rice and then supplement with further nutrition then that is enough on those days. When you work all day though, you cannot really eat a big meal too late at night and so I eat less calories than I should on those days. It is what it is. I burn a lot of energy when working too. I have always been insect in form with a hyper rate of metabolism. Supplementing in the right proportions is good for you and things like Vitamin K2 you cannot even get in most ordinary food. A good protein powder and a decent vitamin supplement is essential IMO.

I am with P4P. I would prefer a perfect pill 3 times a day. There isn't enough time in the day to really cook well.

You could always plant your own veg in a window box in Coleridge close. Then just eat raw, cooking just kills nutrients apparently, and you could take it with you to eat at sunshine deserts. I know space is at a premium but Bilbo managed to cultivate an entire allotment in his arse.

In that case get the hell out of my thread.

This is for chit chat about greasy McDonals, Rotton KFC, Marmite, Tripe, Jellied eels, Frozen Donner meat, Ice cream and cheese sandwiches, beef jerky, pork pie, scotch eggs and microwavable burgers

Fictional healthy food pills and vegetables do not belong in here.

Crisps then. I like crisps as long as the ingredients are okay. They are really shit and cause diabetes and liver disease. I like crisps.

Despite its convenience, I wouldn't like to survive on a diet of pills (even if they perfectly met my nutritional needs). I like the act of sitting down to eat a meal, I like cooking nice food, I like going to restaurants and picking something, knowing that somebody has gone to some effort to produce it.

i like the sight, smell and texture of food.

i spent twelve years making welterweight, which was bloody hard work and I sacrificed quite a bit of entertainment and food to do so, maybe that's why I enjoy food so much now.

funnily enough, I am still only a pound or two over 10st7lb ...... but I will admit that much of it is in different places than before 😀

I also dont don't mind a bit of junk food every now and again, KFC, Nandos, Kebabs (but not donner), takeaway curries etc. They taste nice because they are high in fat, sugar and salt which the human body craves. Even a McDonalds every so often, though they do make me feel a bit sick afterwards!
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?

A few weeks back I walked from St Austell to Falmouth with my Dad and younger brothers. Have not used my proper rucksack for about twenty years. Opened the top pocket and found a vegetable cup a soup form 1996. My and my youngest bro were curious and so made it up. Smelt fine, looked fine. So we both ate some and were fine (Disclaimer - Do not try this at home unless you are a bit daft or bloody really hungry)
