Mexico announced they are building a wall on their southern border. They say to many immigrants coming into Mexico unable to make it to the us and turn to a life of crime to get by. I haven't heard any hoopla about mexicos planned wall. In the us, for most people the immagration issue is about illegal aliens. There is additional concerns about the H1 visas tech companies are pushing the governments to increase which is about getting cheaper engineers and other tech workers. The Muslim issue is fear based as we see what is happening here and in Europe. In parts of the country where Muslims end up they create communities that they run with Sharia law. Personally I'm fine with immigration as long as it's done legally. My wife had a lot of paperwork and waiting to get here when she was a teenager but she followed the rules and has done quite well here. I scatch my head why people from non war torn countries want to come here. We have several at work I talk to and it seems they struggle here but they tell me no matter how much they struggle here they say it is so much better than where they came from. Why is it so controversial that a country wants to protect its borders. China did it with the Great Wall, didn't work well but they did it. Israelis wall which isn't the best example did cut down suicide bombings. I do see the hardship it created in Palestine. Anyway I wrote too much
