Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

What a tragedy it is that this has happened in what is effectively one of the biggest moments of his career. Feel for his partner, his family and of course for the man he was fighting too.
RIP.

So sad RIP Mike thoughts are with your family and friends.

Seriously should he have even been allowed to fight?
Severe migranes and headaches for 2 weeks leading up to the fight.
I mean a fighters head (or hitting it) is the main thing in boxing along with your fists so if it wasn't right why fucking stick him into a tough fight?
Footy players are rested if they get an injury to any part of their legs ffs..!
Bad management around him and seems tragically unprofessional to me.

It is a thought that I have had as well, but for me I suppose it does to some extent come down to the boxer themselves. If they are only going to tell their spouse, and not their trainer or manager, then it is difficult for those people to intercede on their behalf. Fighters that back out from bouts get a lot of stick, not just online, but in the areas where they were due to fight too. There is also the financial aspect of needing the money from the fight to support the family.

There's a huge difference in a having a headache for a day or rwo or like this guy who had one for 2 weeks.
I don't believe his team would not have known either.

RIP to the warrior.
I wish there were more protocols in place, like possibly another mandatory checkup, let's say 3 days before the actual fight. If the fighter has any problems, then they should be pulled.
