What a shame.

Fury's win over Wlad, in Germany, is one of the greatest performances by a British fighter. He handily confused, demoralised and beat a hugely dominant heavyweight champ. The real champ, not some paper dolly like Charles Martin. Never beaten in the ring, a gigantic 6'9" and a guy with a genuine fighters heart.

He was never accepted by the media or the public. Not sure why, though it could have been because he never really looked like an athlete or people's preconception of what a boxer would look like.

He certainly hasn't helped himself with his statements or aspects of his behaviour, though Tyson, Liston and many others definitely behaved worse.

maybe it's because he is a gypsy (today's n*****s
). The amount of disgusting trolling he has received and the media coverage of him has been despicable.

We have no idea whether the guy is having some sort of breakdown, whether he is guilty of totally unprofessional conduct as an athlete ..... or something in between.

i can see a lot more drama happening here. He will be out for a while now, he will not have to follow through the onerous contractual demands Wlad put him under, he can stay out of the tougher unification bouts with the Wilders and Joshua's etc, but will probably be well positioned to come back in a mega fight against the last man standing.

What sort of a fighter he will be by then is anyone's guess.

I hope he gets happy.
