Rooney does not have the pace of the wingers Walcott, Lingard, Ox

Rooney is not as prolific goal scorer to play up front.

Oh man there was a time when you guys could have lined up pure pace and clinical finishers up top: Sturridge, Walcott, Sterling.....that's creative, that's fast, that's goals....it's also a bit injury prone, but you've got Welbeck and Ox as well who can play with those guys.

Now you've got Kane, he's not a huge guy, he's had a good couple seasons recently but I don't know what style suits him best...I don't think it's a Big Sam style which is good so maybe you can have the speed on either side of him.

We have speed but the counter attacks are not working and we are far from dangerous tonight.

Rooney does not have the guile of attacking midfielder like a fir Whilshire or the legs/work rate of Henderson.
