There are currently 10 topics on Ward and Kov, I'm pretty sure the media scores have already been posted and discussed in one or two of them.
Bump.
In addition to the 73% of the press that had Kovalev winning, as reported by @fightscorecollector , a reputable poll of fans on a boxing site with over 5,000 votes had right about the same percentage, 71%, which saw Kovalev winning as well.
Yes, close fight and all..... but when the numbers are staggeringly in one direction, you know who the real winner deserved to be.
I'm hoping for an immediate rematch, and Ward had better be available.
They say you have to win a title but in Wards case it was a give me.
Hopkins Jr as I call him did not dominate fight.
Strange that word greatness I am afraid Ward is not it, he was like a billy goat in the rematch Kov will KO him.
I expected everyone to finally accept the new pound for pound king after that fight...looks as though we have to wait for the rematch.
Winner of the rematch must put a massive stamp on the win..kovalev needs to ko Ward to win..Ward does the same as last time but works the body much earlier.
I think ward wins the rematch but kovalev gets the decision so that they can set up a third fight. As most of us have said before, neither fighter has options after each other so continuing to fight each other is their best option.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Seen the fights two times now and honestly don't even think it was remotely close. Kov by 4 points each time.
i will be collecting press scores for the Lomachenko vs Walter fight on sat night
I'm curious to see how the media scores break down geographically. Just for sh*ts and giggles...
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

They need to have an immediate rematch. They can't leave it here at such an indecisive ending.
