You can't really count guys who were prolific amateurs. Lomanchenko didn't turn pro until he was 25, but winning 2 gold medals and having 400 or whatever fights is clearly a bit more impressive than the first few years and 20 odd fights of most good pros. It's especially true for Cubans, who literally couldn't turn pro until they defected, which could be very difficult and involve leaving everything to chance with no promoter, abandoning their family etc.

Does George Foreman still count . You'd think it has to be a situation heavyweights would benefit more at? I'm getting stuck between late starters who had decent run but no title or fully stocked star amateurs who spent early years chasing gold. Rau'shee Warren like, turns pro at 25 and just seems crazy for the near smallest division otherwise. A guy like Laszlo Papp who made debut at 30 yrs old and was literally on verge of title when politics stepped in.
